BHK Water Purifiers |

Chlorine is toxic to fish, and many people forget that when filling a pond - either for the first time or 'topping it up' during summer months that they are introducing a potentially lethal dose of chlorine. Pond treatment products which make the water 'safe' do exist, but some pond owners are wary about putting chemicals in their pond - the introduction of chlorine kills off bacteria in filters, and it stands to reason that most 'conditioning' products are not going to take an 'absolutely immediate' effect (even an hour could be potentially problematic).
Therefore many people chose pond dechlorinators, which are essentially water filter systems which fit inline with your hose pipe. This means you can attach regular Hoselock(tm) style connectors to either side and simply 'click' onto your filling hose. The unit is supplied with a high quality stainless steel bracket, so it can be bolted to an outside wall near your tap, and permanently connected if desired.
The unit features a flow rate of FULL MAINS FLOW or in pond owners speak about thats probably about 250 gallons per hour. Whilst we call it a 30,000 litre system, this is based on our standard drinking water calculations AND fish-keepers, who generally are happy to accept a 90% reduction in chlorine (as opposed to say 98% for drinking water) will probably find the cartridge can be used beyond this (we suggest testing sample water to check filter performance).
This product is a complete kit, including the housing, mounting bracket, hozelock style(tm) connectors and the initial cartridge.
